Job summary

Apex Group is a global fund administration and middle office provider seeking a financial reporting professional in India. The role focuses on preparing and analyzing financial statements for diverse investment structures and ensuring compliance with multiple GAAP frameworks.

You will collaborate with onshore teams, clients, and auditors to resolve queries, with growth opportunities in a dynamic, globally connected firm.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years in Financial Reporting.
• Prior Hedge Fund Financial Reporting preferred.
• Exposure to IFRS and/or US GAAP preferred.
• Hands-on manual statement preparation preferred over automation.

Responsibilities

• Receive, validate, and analyze data for financial statements.
• Prepare statements for Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Estate, and ManCo.
• Prepare and review statements under IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, etc.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
• Resolve accounting and reporting queries with onshore teams, clients, auditors, and directors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive, validate, and analyze required data for the preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare financial statements for various investment structures, including:
  • Hedge Funds
  • Private Equity funds
  • Real Estate entities
  • Management Companies (ManCo), etc.
• Prepare and review financial statements under multiple GAAP frameworks, primarily:
  • IFRS
  • US GAAP
  • UK GAAP
  • Luxembourg GAAP
  • Canadian GAAP
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and reporting requirements.
• Independently resolve accounting and reporting queries raised by:
  • Onshore teams
  • Clients
  • Auditors
  • Directors / Senior stakeholders

Qualification and Experience

• Educational Qualification:
  • CA, CPA, ACCA
  • MBA (Finance)
  • CFA
  • Any specialized qualification/course in Accounting or Finance
• Experience:
  • 1-4 years of experience in Financial Reporting
  • Prior experience in Hedge Fund Financial Reporting is preferred
  • Exposure to IFRS and/or US GAAP financial reporting is preferred
  • Hands‑on manual experience in financial statement preparation is preferred over the use of automated reporting tools

Skills Required

• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial statements.
• Good knowledge of capital markets and derivatives.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Adaptability to dynamic work environments and changing requirements.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines.
