Job summary

Apex Group is seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to review financial statements for Hedge Funds, Private Equity funds, and Real Estate entities across GAAP frameworks including IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, and more. You will prepare and analyze statements, ensure accuracy, and support cross-jurisdictional reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance required or equivalent professional qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA/CFA).
• Experience in Financial Reporting and knowledge of multiple GAAP frameworks helpful.
• Strong interpersonal and time-management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and standardize FR processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Lead a team in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment with a focus on accuracy.
• Provide training, motivation and development to team members to maintain high client service standards.
• Manage timelines for financial statements onshore and resolve queries from Onshore, Clients, Auditors, and Directors.
• Possess knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP reporting and Hedge Funds reporting.

Job specification

As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will review financial statements for Hedge Funds, Private Equity funds, Real Estate entities and similar structures across multiple GAAP frameworks, including IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, Luxembourg GAAP, and Canadian GAAP. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements based on the provided data, as well as conducting thorough reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Develop document and institute procedures to make the FR process more efficient and standardized, saving time and money
• Manage a team in a high-volume, deadline and production-driven environment while maintaining 100% accuracy
• Provide ongoing and continuous training, motivation and development of all team members to maintain high client service standards
• Use resources within the team, establishing goals and objectives of the team
• New hiring, process training for new staff, people issues, performance management, KPIs etc.
• Manage a team and deadline and be effective in a production-driven environment while maintaining 100% accuracy
• Train the team to ensure quality services to clients
• Define the timeline of financial statements onshore
• Resolve queries raised by Onshore, Clients, Auditors, and Director.
• Experience in Financial Reporting
• Experience of Financial Reporting in Hedge Funds
• Manual experience of reporting in IFRS/US GAAP is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
• Adaptability in MS Excel and MS Word.

Skills Required

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting/Finance required or any a professional qualification, CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, or any course specialising in accounting.
