1. Ground Operations & Daily Coordination
- Act as the key liaison between the field teams and central operations.
- Oversee daily pickups, warehouse movements, and linehaul dispatches.
- Identify and resolve operational issues on priority to avoid delays or service gaps.
2. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Regularly track all key operational metrics including:
- On-Time In-Full (OTIF) Pickup Performance,
- Attempted vs Successful Pickups
- Submit daily MIS reports ensuring data accuracy and transparency.
- Proactively close escalations and maintain workflow hygiene.
- Follow up with city/dark store teams to close pending pickups.
- Verify completion through system reports & ground confirmation.
- Highlight gaps in pickup TAT (Turn Around Time) and initiate corrective actions.
- Work with ground teams to improve pickup success rates.
- Manage escalations related to local vendors and 3PL partners.
- Ensure workforce compliance with company protocols, including:
- Up-to-date KYC documentation
- Grooming & Uniform Guidelines
- Mandatory carrying of ID cards during duty hours
4. Capacity Planning & Peak Readiness
- Anticipate volume spikes and plan resources accordingly.
- Organize and supervise stress tests to validate the readiness of warehouses and first-mile teams during peak load scenarios.
- Manage daily shift planning and roster allocations.
- Monitor ground-level attrition and initiate hiring plans when required.
- Handle petty cash, manpower payouts, vendor billing, and ensure financial documentation is processed accurately and on time.
6. Inventory & Warehouse Controls
- Track and monitor the inward and outward flow of goods.
- Ensure tight control over linehaul movements, minimize shrinkage, and implement robust pilferage checks.
- Oversee the correct packaging and handling of working material.
7. Multi-Functional Coordination
- Admin:Ensure field staff have required resources (SIM cards, ID cards, uniforms, etc.).
- HR:Support ground-level hiring requirements by coordinating with HR for manpower gaps.
- Operations:Resolve daily ops challenges like route planning, vehicle allocation, and capacity issues.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and safety guidelines.
- Identify operational bottlenecks proactively.
- Act as first escalation for route delays, customer complaints related to pickups, manpower absenteeism, or equipment shortages.
- Liaise with local vendors if additional logistics support is needed.
9. Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure all documentation (pickup sheets, customer acknowledgments) is maintained properly.
- Support internal audits for pickups and logistics operations.
- Ensure SOP adherence and zero data mismatch.
Profile & Experience
- Qualification: B.Tech or MBA(Supply Chain specialization preferred)
- Experience: 3–4 years in Central Ops in high-velocity environments (e.g., BigBasket, Blinkit, Shadowfax, Zepto, Delhivery,Instamart or hyperlocal Operation.)
Skill Requirements
- Technical Tools: Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint for reporting and business presentations
- Analytical Mindset: Strong data interpretation and problem-solving skills
- Communication:Regional language proficiency for effective coordination with ground staff.
