Job summary

Alten in Bengaluru, India seeks a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer (ASPICE) to drive Automotive SPICE compliance and process governance. The role focuses on coaching teams, performing QA activities, and sustaining CL2/CL3 levels across automotive software projects.

You will lead audits, non-conformances, and evidence reviews while developing quality templates and dashboards. Strong ASPICE knowledge and 7+ years in QA within automotive software are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Process Assurance, or Quality Engineering within Automotive Software Development.
• Experience supporting ASPICE CL2/CL3 assessments and improvement programs.
• Experience conducting audits, compliance reviews, work product reviews, and quality gate assessments.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive implementation of Automotive SPICE requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct independent QA activities including audits, reviews, release readiness, and assessments.
• Monitor ASPICE compliance and provide recommendations for process implementation.
• Identify, track, escalate, and close quality non-conformances and risks.
• Support ASPICE assessments, gap analysis, evidence reviews, and closure of findings.
• Coach Project Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Architects, and Engineering Teams on ASPICE and processes.
• Define and maintain quality processes, templates, checklists, guidelines, and assets.
• Prepare and present quality status reports, KPIs, dashboards, and updates for management.
• Support projects in achieving ASPICE CL2 and CL3.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to drive Automotive SPICE compliance, process assurance, quality governance, and continuous improvement across automotive software projects. The role involves coaching project teams, conducting quality assurance activities, supporting ASPICE assessments, managing non-conformances, and ensuring successful achievement and sustainment of ASPICE CL2/CL3

Key Responsibilities

• Drive implementation of Automotive SPICE requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct independent quality assurance activities, including process audits, work product reviews, release readiness reviews, and compliance assessments.
• Monitor ASPICE compliance and provide recommendations for effective process implementation.
• Identify, track, escalation, and drive closure of non-conformances and quality risks.
• Support internal and external ASPICE assessments, including gap analysis, assessment preparation, evidence reviews, and closure of findings.
• Coach Project Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Architects, and Engineering Teams on ASPICE and organizational processes.
• Define and maintain quality processes, templates, checklists, guidelines, and process assets.
• Prepare and present quality status reports, KPIs, compliance dashboards, and management updates.
• Support projects in achieving and sustaining ASPICE Capability Level 2 (CL2) and Capability Level 3 (CL3).
• Maintain project quality repositories and Confluence spaces.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Process Assurance, or Quality Engineering within Automotive Software Development.
• Proven experience supporting ASPICE CL2 and CL3 assessments and improvement programs.
• Experience conducting audits, compliance reviews, work product reviews, and quality gate assessments.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Automotive SPICE v4.0 and ASPICE Assessment Methodology.

Certifications

• Mandatory: Automotive SPICE Provisional Assessor Certification.
