Job summary

Dynamics Expertise in Bangalore is seeking an experienced Senior AS/400 Developer to design and optimize AS/400 applications using RPG/RPGLE, CL/CLLE, and DB2/400. You will translate requirements, mentor juniors, and ensure delivery within SLAs in an Agile environment.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, contribute to code reviews, testing, and performance tuning, and help define standards, automation, and deployment practices across the team.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on AS/400 / IBM i development.
• Expertise in RPG/RPGLE, CL/CLLE, and DB2/400.
• Experience designing and developing AS/400-based applications, modules, and interfaces.
• Good understanding of AS/400 architecture, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Experience with job scheduling tools such as Control‑M or equivalent.
• Knowledge of web services, APIs, XML, and modern integrations on AS/400 is an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, and iterative development methodologies.
• Experience in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to prepare technical documentation and design specifications.

Responsibilities
