Job Description:

Tavant is seeking an API Engineer who is passionate about all things data and has the desire to turn API data migration into a competitive advantage. Employees in this role need to be well versed with Google, GCP and APIs which can include data management, data quality and data migrations. Job Responsibilities:

Migrate API settings and configs used to process disparate data sets
Migrate proxies, shared flows, reports, monitors, users, customers, and custom configs.
Volume and performance testing experience. Experience with PERF and INT load tests with both simulators and host systems integrations.
Identify technical challenges and communicate obstacles and risks
Execute complex technical tasks in a straightforward and efficient way.

Job Requirements:

5 years of relevant IT experience and 3 years of experience with Java coding
Direct technical hands-on experience on at least one migration to Apigee X through full project lifecycle from prior Apigee version
Excellent coding skills with expertise in Java, REST APIs, SQL, and micro-services
Experience with Apigee Edge, Apigee X, Google Cloud (GCP), MySQL, BigQuery, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Anthos
Experience with development & operations in cloud native technologies (GCP required)
Broad knowledge of open-source libraries & packages
Well versed with big data concepts and data engineering principles or techniques.
