Job summary

Ingersoll Rand Inc. in Naroda is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to support the Sales team with technical and commercial guidance in Tendering for Air Compressors and related equipment.

You will design and select offerings involving compressors, dryers, filters and auxiliaries, and prepare technical and competitive price Make-Up schedules while coordinating with Sales, Engineering and Factories during negotiations.

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Electrical engineering.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in compressors/EPC/oil & gas domains.
• Tendering, estimation engineering and proposal development experience.
• Ability to coordinate with Sales, Engineering and Factories during negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Design and select offerings involving compressors and auxiliaries.
• Prepare technical and competitive commercial offers for customers.
• Interface between Sales, factories and engineering during negotiation.
• Transfer orders to the project team and manage third-party suppliers as needed.
• Support tendering and ensure cost/quality/schedule targets.

JOB Description

This role requires an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual interested in working closely with Sales Teams to support them both technically and commercially in the position of Tendering Engineer in Air Compressors, air treatment and solutions.

The application Engineer will have the responsibility with the sales team to design and select suitable offerings involving compressors and auxiliaries (Dryers, cooling towers, filters). He or she will prepare the technical and competitive commercial offer to customer.

She/he will be required to interface between Sales, factories, engineering during the negotiation stage and be responsible for compiling suitable and accurate Price Make Up schedules.

She/he will also manage any third party suppliers to achieve the required costs/quality/schedule expected by the customer during the quotation phase.

The tendering engineer is also responsible to transfer the order to the project team which will follow the project execution.

Important note: This being business critical support function, engineers taking up this role need to have product knowledge, should be able to handle various complexities linked to ETO enquiries.
