Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join the Naroda team, working with Sales to support tendering and technical-commercial offers for air compressors and related solutions. The role involves designing suitable offerings, preparing price Make-Up schedules, coordinating with factories and suppliers, and transferring orders to the project team for execution.

The candidate should have 7–10 years of BE in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Electrical and exposure to oil & gas

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Electrical engineering.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in compressors, EPC, or oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of tendering processes and technical-commercial proposals.

Responsibilities

• Support sales teams with technical and commercial tendering for air compressors and accessories.
• Design and select suitable offerings (compressors, dryers, filters, cooling towers).
• Prepare technical and commercial price make-up schedules and liaise with suppliers.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering and factories during negotiations to finalise offers.

JOB Description:-
This role requires an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual interested in working closely with Sales Teams to support them both technically and commercially in the position of Tendering Engineer in Air Compressors, air treatment and solutions.
The application Engineer will have the responsibility with the sales team to design and select suitable offerings involving compressors and auxiliaries (Dryers, cooling towers, filters). He or she will prepare the technical and competitive commercial offer to customer.
She/he will be required to interface between Sales, factories, engineering during the negotiation stage and be responsible for compiling suitable and accurate Price Make Up schedules.
She/he will also manage any third party suppliers to achieve the required costs/quality/schedule expected by the customer during the quotation phase.
The tendering engineer is also responsible to transfer the order to the project team which will follow the project execution.
Important note: This being business critical support function, engineers taking up this role need to have product knowledge, should be able to handle various complexities linked to ETO enquiries.

Basic knowledge of Centrifugal air compressors, Rotary and Oil Free units

Computer Literate
Auto CAD experience (added advantage)
Project management skills
Ability to work cross matrix and establish relationship and networks both internally and externally
Follow and execute the Gate Process for Engineered To Order enquiries and orders.
Effectively use the Tendering tools
English and Hindi speaker (additional language is an advantage)
Knowledge of ISO
