Job summary

L4B Software is seeking a Senior AOSP Platform Engineer in Pune to develop and maintain Android-based OS platforms for embedded products, including automotive and medical devices. This is deep platform work spanning boot flow, services, and security integration.

You will customize frameworks, integrate HAL components, and ensure robust security with SELinux and Secure Boot. This role demands hands-on platform-level expertise and a strong C/C++ background.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on AOSP/platform-level development experience.
• Strong C/C++ and Android system architecture knowledge.
• Experience with Binder/AIDL, HAL, and vendor components integration.
• Experience with Android BSP and SoC vendor integration.
• SELinux policy development and debugging experience.
• Knowledge of Android boot flow, init, permissions, VINTF, and Treble.
• Strong Linux/Android system-level debugging across layers.
• Experience with AOSP build systems (Soong) and Git.

Responsibilities

• Build, customize, integrate, and maintain production AOSP platforms.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on AOSP/platform-level experience required. This is not an entry-level or fresher role.
• This is NOT an Android application development role. If your experience is primarily Kotlin/Java + Android SDK/Jetpack/Compose app development without hands-on platform-level (HAL/BSP/Kernel/Security) work, please do not apply.

Who This Role Is Not For

Android app developers (Kotlin/Java/SDK/Jetpack/Compose/UI) without substantial platform-level experience, and candidates with under 5 years of relevant experience.
