Position Summary:
TheConsulting Business Analyst provides advanced, cross-functional advisoryleadership for HR Transformation & Analytics. This role is used forcomplex, ambiguous, or enterprise-impacting work that requires deepfunctional expertise, strong stakeholder influence, standards-setting, andthe ability to connect business outcomes, data, technology, process, product,and AI-readiness considerations across multiple teams or portfolios.
TheBusiness Analyst supports HR Transformation & Analytics by translatingbusiness needs into clear requirements, workflows, business rules, userstories, acceptance criteria, and readiness inputs. This role partners withHR stakeholders, product owners, technology teams, data teams, changemanagers, process engineers, and analysts to ensure solutions are designed tomeet business needs and operate effectively.
Therole is responsible for requirements gathering, process documentation,stakeholder alignment, UAT support, traceability, and solution readiness.Success requires structured thinking, facilitation, documentation discipline,business acumen, and responsible use of AI-assisted requirements and processtools.
Responsibilities:
Consulting-Level Advisory & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as a trustedadvisor on complex HR Transformation & Analytics initiatives that spanmultiple stakeholders, systems, functions, or business outcomes.
- Shape solutiondirection, operating approach, delivery standards, analytical methods,technical patterns, or governance practices for assigned areas of expertise.
- Lead complexdiscovery, problem framing, impact analysis, stakeholder alignment, and recommendation development where ownership or solution paths are not yetclear.
- Influence leadersand cross-functional partners through structured analysis, executive-readycommunication, trade-off framing, and practical implementationrecommendations.
- Establish reusablepractices, playbooks, quality standards, templates, and decision frameworksthat improve consistency and maturity across the HR Transformation &Analytics organization.
Requirements & Business Analysis
- Gather, document,and validate business, functional, reporting, workflow, integration, andoperational requirements.
- Develop userstories, acceptance criteria, business rules, process flows, decision logic,and traceability documentation.
- Clarify scope,assumptions, dependencies, constraints, and open questions in partnershipwith product and delivery teams.
Process, Testing & Readiness Support
- Documentcurrent-state and future-state workflows, handoffs, exceptions, controls, androle responsibilities.
- Support UATplanning, test scenarios, defect triage, business validation, and readinessactivities.
- Contribute totraining inputs, SOP updates, communication inputs, and implementationsupport.
Stakeholder Partnership & Delivery Alignment
- Facilitate workingsessions with HR, technology, analytics, product, operations, andtransformation stakeholders.
- Translatestakeholder needs into delivery-ready artifacts and ensure requirements areunderstood by technical and business partners.
- Maintain decisionlogs, action items, requirements documentation, and issue summaries.
AI-Assisted Business Analysis
- Use approved AItools to support meeting summaries, requirement drafts, processdocumentation, test scenario drafts, and stakeholder communication outlines.
- ValidateAI-assisted requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria withstakeholders before use.
- Identifyopportunities to improve requirements quality, knowledge management, andworkflow documentation through AI-assisted practices.
AI Preparedness Expectations:
- Shapes responsibleAI adoption patterns for assigned domains, including appropriate use cases,controls, human review expectations, validation approaches, and stakeholderreadiness.
- Advises leadersand cross-functional partners on how AI can improve productivity, insightgeneration, engineering, analytics delivery, process maturity, productoutcomes, and workforce readiness.
- Establishes orcontributes to reusable AI guidance, prompt patterns, quality checks,governance artifacts, and adoption practices that reduce risk and improveconsistency.
- Builds advancedcapability in AI-enabled operating models, responsible AI governance,AI-assisted analytics and engineering, and future-of-work implications overthe next three years.
- Uses AI toaccelerate meeting synthesis, requirements drafts, process documentation, andtest scenario creation while validating with stakeholders.
- UnderstandsAI-generated requirements can miss context, create false precision, orintroduce errors without human review.
- Builds capabilityin AI-assisted business analysis, intelligent requirements management,workflow automation, and responsible AI adoption over the next three years.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degreein Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, DataAnalytics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experiencemay be considered.
- Typically 5+ yearsof experience in a related environment.
- Experience leadingcomplex cross-functional initiatives, advisory engagements, enterpriseanalytics, technology delivery, transformation workstreams, or processimprovement efforts.
- Experienceinfluencing leaders, resolving ambiguity, framing decisions, and presentingrecommendations to senior managers, directors, or senior directors.
- Experienceestablishing standards, governance practices, reusable frameworks, playbooks,or capability maturity improvements across teams or portfolios.
- Experiencesupporting business analysis, requirements gathering, process documentation,UAT, project coordination, HR operations, or transformation initiatives.
- Experiencepreparing user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, meeting notes,issue logs, or requirements documentation.
- Experience workingwith business and technical stakeholders to clarify needs and supportdelivery.
