Job Description
Role Purpose
The Senior Analyst will support the State Engagement function in managing and driving end-to-end execution of State-level and multi-stakeholder initiatives. The role will act as a central coordination and analytical resource between State teams, Regional Heads, internal NSDC verticals, Ministries, Sector Skill Councils and other stakeholders.
The role will be responsible for translating strategic priorities and HQ mandates into actionable plans, monitoring implementation, supporting proposal development, analysing operational and financial information, resolving execution bottlenecks, and providing timely decision-support to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
State Engagement & Project Management
- Supportend-to-end management of multiple State-level projects and initiatives
- Coordinate with Regional Heads, SEOs, SECs and State stakeholders for execution and closure
- Track state-wise progress, deliverables, targets and timelines
- Identify implementation gaps and drive follow-up for timely resolution
Proposal & Business Support
- Prepare and review proposals, concept notes, DPRs, presentations and approval notes
- Undertake financial and operational analysis of proposals and implementation models
- Support evaluation of new opportunities and State requirements
- Develop decision notes and recommendations for management
Strategic & Management Support
- Translate organisational priorities and HQ mandates into actionable workplans
- Support Senior Leadership in strategic reviews and decision-making
- Prepare management briefs, dashboards and presentations for leadership and Ministry-level reviews
- Provide analytical inputs for strategic interventions across States
Monitoring & Performance Management
- Develop and maintain state-wise and project-wise trackers
- Monitor key milestones, targets, training/implementation progress and action points
- Analyse performance trends and highlight risks, delays and areas requiring intervention
- Ensure timely consolidation and validation of information received from States
Stakeholder & Issue Management
- Coordinate with States, Ministries, SSCs, internal verticals and implementation partners
- Support resolution of State-level operational issues and escalations
- Follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure closure of critical actionpoints
- Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders
Review & Governance
- Support regular review meetings with Regional and State teams
- Prepare agendas, MOMs, action trackers and follow-up reportsMonitor implementation of decisions taken during reviews
- Ensure timely escalation of critical issues to leadership
Data & Reporting
- Validate, reconcile and analyse data received from States and partners
- Prepare periodic MIS, dashboards and management reports
- Convert operational data into meaningful insights for decision-making
- Maintain accurate and updated programme-level information
Process Improvement
- Identify gaps in existing workflows and suggest process improvements
- Develop standardised formats, trackers and review mechanisms
- Support automation and digitisation of recurring monitoring and reporting processes
- Improve efficiency and turnaround time of State Engagement operations
Requirements
- Experience:3–7 years in project management, consulting, government programmes, development sector, strategy, operations or stakeholder management.
- Bachelor’s Or Master degree in management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Engineering or a related field.
- Strong experience in project coordination and multi-stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent PowerPoint and Excel/MIS skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare high-quality proposals, presentations, reports and management notes.
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working with Government/State Governments, Ministries, PSUs, skilling, education, livelihood or development programmes would be an advantage.
