Job Description
Role Purpose
The Senior Analyst will support the State Engagementfunction in managing and driving end-to-end execution of State-level andmulti-stakeholder initiatives.
The role will be responsible for translating strategicpriorities and HQ mandates into actionable plans, monitoring implementation,supporting proposal development, analysing operational and financialinformation, resolving execution bottlenecks, and providing timelydecision-support to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
StateEngagement & Project Management
- Supportend-to-end management of multiple State-level projects and initiatives
- Coordinate with Regional Heads, SEOs, SECs and State stakeholders forexecution and closure
- Track state-wise progress, deliverables, targets andtimelines
- Identify implementation gaps and drive follow-up for timelyresolution
Proposal& Business Support
- Prepare andreview proposals, concept notes, DPRs, presentations and approval notes
- Undertake financial and operational analysis of proposals and implementationmodels
- Support evaluation of new opportunities and State requirements
- Develop decision notes and recommendations for management
Strategic& Management Support
- Translateorganisational priorities and HQ mandates into actionable workplans
- SupportSenior Leadership in strategic reviews and decision‑making
- Preparemanagement briefs, dashboards and presentations for leadership andMinistry-level reviews
- Provide analytical inputs for strategicinterventions across States
Monitoring& Performance Management
- Develop andmaintain state-wise and project‑wise trackers
- Monitor key milestones,targets, training/implementation progress and action points
- Analyseperformance trends and highlight risks, delays and areas requiringintervention
- Ensure timely consolidation and validation of informationreceived from States
Stakeholder& Issue Management
- Coordinatewith States, Ministries, SSCs, internal verticals and implementation partners
- Support resolution of State‑level operational issues and escalations
- Follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure closure of critical actionpoints
- Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders
Review& Governance
- Supportregular review meetings with Regional and State teams
- Prepare agendas,MOMs, action trackers and follow‑up reports
- Monitor implementation ofdecisions taken during reviews
- Ensure timely escalation of critical issusto leadership
Data &Reporting
- Validate,reconcile and analyse data received from States and partners
- Prepareperiodic MIS, dashboards and management reports
- Convert operational datainto meaningful insights for decision‑making
- Maintain accurate and updatedprogramme‑level information
ProcessImprovement
- Identifygaps in existing workflows and suggest process improvements
- Developstandardised formats, trackers and review mechanisms
- Support automation anddigitisation of recurring monitoring and reporting processes
- Improveefficiency and turnaround time of State Engagement operations
Requirements
- Experience:3–7 years in project management, consulting, government programmes,development sector, strategy, operations or stakeholder management.
- Bachelor’s Or Master degree in management, BusinessAdministration, Social Sciences, Engineering or a related field.
- Strongexperience in project coordination and multi‑stakeholder management.
- Stronganalytical and problem‑solving capability.
- Excellent PowerPoint and Excel/MIS skills.
- Strongwritten and verbal communication skills.
- Abilityto prepare high‑quality proposals, presentations, reports and managementnotes.
- Abilityto work with senior stakeholders and manage multiple prioritiessimultaneously.
- Experienceworking with Government/State Governments, Ministries, PSUs, skilling,education, livelihood or development programmes would be an advantage.
