enGen Global is seeking a Mainframe developer to ensure a highly available mainframe system within healthcare Payor space. The role requires deep knowledge of IBM Enterprise mainframe sub-subsystems in a parallel sysplex environment and hands on work with CICS, MQ, and related tools.

The candidate will monitor CICS/MQ health, troubleshoot issues, and support z/OS environments with ISPF/SDSF, COBOL JCL, and DB2. A flexible schedule and strong healthcare experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in mainframe technology: COBOL, DB2, CICS, SQL, JCL, VSAM.
• Healthcare domain experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

This position is for a Mainframe developer who will be primarily accountant for ensuring a highly available mainframe system in the healthcare systems, preferably in the Payor space (Claims). This results-oriented job requires a solid understanding of mainframe sub-subsystems in a large scale parallel sysplex IBM Enterprise environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Monitor the health of the CICS/MQ environments and help troubleshoot issues to determine root causes


• Support the IBM Z Mainframe z/OS environment using ISPF/SDSF, COBOL JCL, DB2, CICS and third-party utilities


• Provide stable and secure mainframe sub-system support


• Use performance reports/metrics to identify process/availability improvement opportunities


• Conduct change inspections; determine associated risks and readiness for implementation


• Available to work a flexible work schedule that would include infrastructure releases

Experience

• Required: Experience in mainframe technology mentioned below: COBOL, DB2 Databases, CICS, SQL, JCL, VSAM. Preferred: Teradata Databases, MQ Series, MQ Visual Edit, IBM UrbanCode Deploy, TS02 Corporate Code Tables, Batch Checkpoint/Restart, CATS (Change Automation for Transaction Series), FTP for Batch and Online, SPUFI, IBM Load/Unload (Utilities), IDCAMS, QMF (DB2 Query Management Facility), IMSBMC (Mainframe Middleware Administrator), Hicore / Browse tables in data space, IBM VisualAge Interspace. Mandatory Healthcare experience.
