Job summary

enGen Global is seeking a Mainframe developer to ensure a highly available mainframe system in healthcare/payor space. You will work in a large-scale IBM Enterprise z/OS environment with COBOL, CICS, DB2, and MQ, focusing on availability and performance.

The role includes monitoring CICS/MQ health, ISPF/SDSF tooling, JCL, batch processing, change inspections, and flexible release windows.

Qualifications

• Experience in mainframe technologies COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL and VSAM in production.
• Hands-on knowledge of MQ Series and MQ Visual Edit.
• Healthcare domain experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health of the CICS/MQ environments and troubleshoot issues to determine root causes.
• Support the IBM Z Mainframe z/OS environment using ISPF/SDSF, COBOL JCL, DB2, CICS and third-party utilities.
• Provide stable and secure mainframe sub-system support.
• Use performance reports/metrics to identify process/availability improvement opportunities.
• Conduct change inspections; determine risks and readiness for implementation.
• Available to work a flexible work schedule that would include infrastructure releases.

Job Summary

This position is for a Mainframe developer who will be primarily accountable for ensuring a highly available mainframe system in the healthcare systems, preferably in the Payor space (Claims). This results-oriented job requires a solid understanding of mainframe sub-subsystems in a large scale parallel sysplex IBM Enterprise environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Monitor the health of the CICS/MQ environments and help troubleshoot issues to determine root causes
• Support the IBM Z Mainframe z/OS environment using ISPF/SDSF, COBOL JCL, DB2, CICS and third-party utilities
• Provide stable and secure mainframe sub-system support
