Job summary

Tesco Bengaluru is seeking a GIS-focused professional to design online store catchments and balance trade across Tesco stores, ensuring every potential customer is covered.

You will work with GIS tools such as ArcMap, Quantum GIS, and KML, apply Python and R knowledge, follow Tesco processes, and contribute to quality-driven operations and process documentation. The role offers a hybrid work model and benefits that support health, retirement, and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• GIS knowledge and experience in a professional setting.
• Understanding of GIS processes and tool usage (ArcMap, QGIS, KML).
• Knowledge of Python or R is preferred.

About the role

This role is accountable to design Online Store catchments so that trade is balanced across stores and to ensure every possible customer is covered by Tesco store

You will be responsible for

• Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
• Understands business needs and in depth understanding of Tesco processes
• Builds on Tesco processes and knowledge by applying CI tools and techniques
• Responsible for completing tasks and transactions within agreed critical metrics
• Solves problems by analyzing solution alternatives
• Delivering operational critical metrics at the encouraged quality/ accuracy levels by adhering to the quality framework and as a Quality Checker, perform daily checks in line with quality framework defined for the team
• Keeping self up to date with process changes and responsible to update process documents and SOP's
• Track competitor impact and build solutions to minimize impacts
• Build simulations to understand the impact of various applicable changes
• Plan and Lead the impact of local events on the delivery of GHS orders

You will need

• GIS Graduate preferred
• Preferably having worked in any GIS operation and having GIS Tool experience (ArcMap, Quantum GIS, Keyhole Markup Language)
• Knowledge Ofo Pythono R
