Job summary

LANXESS in Thane, India is seeking an Application Management Specialist to govern the enterprise application portfolio and lead packaging governance with an external provider. The role also owns Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) management, ensuring SLAs and contractual obligations are met.

You will collaborate with Procurement, Legal, and Compliance, driving process improvements and delivering reliable IT services for business continuity and productivity.

Qualifications

• IT graduate with relevant degree.
• 6+ years of work experience in IT.
• Experience in application lifecycle management and portfolio governance.

Responsibilities

• Govern enterprise application lifecycle, version control, compliance, and portfolio governance.
• Coordinate packaging vendors, requirements, deliverables, SLAs, and deployment handovers.
• Oversee AVD configurations, performance, availability, and security.
• Manage external service providers, SLAs, service quality, escalations, and contractual compliance.
• Drive process improvements, documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Ensure IT service delivery, incident resolution, KPI reporting, and continuous service improvement.
• Assess infrastructure requirements and support team development.
• Enhance digital employee experience using Nexthink, Systrack, or similar tools.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordination with Procurement, Legal, and Compliance.

Job Highlights

The Application Management Specialist is responsible for the governance and lifecycle management of the company's enterprise application portfolio. The role coordinates and steers all application packaging requests with the external packaging service provider, acting as the primary interface to ensure timely, quality-compliant delivery and alignment with the Device Management team for deployment.

In addition, the position owns the management and steering of the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environment, working in close collaboration with an external service provider who handles the technical implementation. The role ensures contractual obligations, SLAs, and quality standards are consistently met.

The position contributes directly to business continuity, end-user productivity, and the company's cloud-first workplace strategy.
