Job summary

LANXESS Deutschland GmbH is seeking a logistics coordinator to provide centralized operational support for manual dock and loading slot bookings across European logistics operations. You will coordinate with carriers, warehouses, and planners to ensure timely slot confirmations and manage schedule changes.

Responsibilities include monitoring shared mailboxes, supporting urgent interventions, and improving transparency of dock capacity utilization while escalating risks when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2 to 3 years work experience.
• Experience in transportation coordination, scheduling, or logistics operations.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with operational communication and scheduling activities preferred.

• Execute manual dock and loading slot bookings for transportation activities across European logistics operations.
• Coordinate directly with carriers, warehouses, and transportation planners regarding slot confirmations, rescheduling requests, and operational changes.
• Manage and monitor shared operational mailboxes for booking requests, escalations, and follow-up activities.
• Support short-notice operational interventions and coordinate urgent schedule adjustments to avoid loading disruptions.
• Monitor loading slot utilization and support reporting and transparency activities regarding dock capacity usage.
• Escalate operational risks, conflicts, or capacity issues to responsible stakeholders where additional coordination is required.
