Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking an AI Ops Engineer III to design, build, deploy, and maintain AI agents and related software applications. You will deploy and monitor AI workloads on Google Cloud Platform, collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders, and manage IaC using Terraform.

The role emphasizes strong Python engineering skills, hands-on AI agent development, and production-grade deployments with a culture focused on growth and learning.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant software engineering or AI operations experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python-based application development.
• Practical knowledge of AI agents, AI workflows, and agent development frameworks or toolkits.
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications or AI workloads on GCP.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code practices (Terraform or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust AI agents and software applications using Python and ADK.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI agents and infrastructure in GCP environments.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to integrate AI into platforms and workflows.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust AI agents and software applications using Python and Agent Development Kit (ADK).
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI agents and supporting infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and integrate AI capabilities into existing platforms and workflows.
• Develop and manage cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform to enable reliable and repeatable deployments.
• Perform development testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of deployed AI software and operational processes.
• Support other related engineering and operational activities as assigned.
