Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking a Lead/Architect AI with expertise in AI/ML, Generative AI, and Python to design and deliver scalable intelligence-driven products. The role is based at all Persistent locations in India, with a focus on Pune and wider national opportunities.

You will own end-to-end delivery, shape data-driven strategies, and drive innovations in AI and automation. A deep background in predictive analytics and production ML is expected.

About Position: We are seeking Lead/Architect AI with AI/ML, Generative AI/Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Python experience. Role: AI Architect Location: All Persistent Locations Experience: 12 to 18 Years Job Type: Full Time Employment

What You'll Do:

• Design and build predictive models and AI-driven intelligence solutions for proactive decision-making
• Translate business and commercial challenges into scalable data science and engineering solutions
• Develop forecasting models, trend analysis, and opportunity prediction systems
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and production-grade ML solutions
• Optimize model accuracy, explainability, scalability, and deployment strategies
• Contribute to technical roadmap and innovation for AI-driven products
• Identify risks, dependencies, and architectural trade-offs proactively
• Collaborate with leadership, product, and business teams to shape data-driven strategies
• Challenge business assumptions and promote analytical decision-making
• Present insights, models, and recommendations effectively to executive stakeholders
• Own end-to-end solution delivery from development to business adoption
• Drive innovation in AI, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation
• Work with cross-functional teams to build scalable intelligence-led products

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 12+ years of experience in Data Science, AI/ML Engineering, or predictive analytics
• Proven experience building large-scale predictive intelligence or AI-driven solutions
• Strong expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and forecasting
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark for data processing and modeling
• Experience in building scalable data pipelines and engineering frameworks
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of MLOps practices and production ML deployment
• Exposure to NLP and LLM technologies is a plus
• Experience in retail, FMCG, or consumer analytics is preferred
• Strong stakeholder management and consultative engagement skills
• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage executive stakeholders
• Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and ownership abilities
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments and drive outcomes
