Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking an experienced AI/GenAI Full Stack Engineer to build scalable AI-powered applications using Python, AWS AI/ML services, and modern frontend tech. The role emphasizes LLMs, agentic frameworks, deep learning, and chatbot solutions across backend and frontend development.

You will design robust RESTful APIs, implement secure, scalable microservices, and ensure comprehensive testing and quality. A strong CS/AI background and 7–12 years of experience are required.

Job description

This role is for an experienced AI/GenAI Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Python, AWS AI/ML services, API development, microservices architecture, and modern frontend technologies. The candidate will build scalable AI-powered applications leveraging LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, deep learning, and chatbot solutions, while contributing across both backend and frontend development.

What You'll Do:

• Develop scalable, high-performance AI-driven systems using Python, with focus on LLMs, deep learning, and chatbot capabilities
• Strong understanding of large language models, agents, and agentic frameworks such as AutoGen, LangChain, Lang Graph, and Crew AI
• Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs optimized for performance
• Ensure comprehensive unit testing and validation for APIs, ML models, and databases
• Advocate for clean, maintainable, and testable code.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with strong expertise in Python.
• Proven experience building and deploying AI/ML and Generative AI applications, including solutions powered by Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, Crew AI, or similar technologies.
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, backend services, and microservices-based architectures.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, including AI/ML services such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, and S3.
• Solid understanding of system design, distributed systems, scalability, performance optimization, and security best practices.
• Experience implementing unit testing, integration testing, API testing, and ML model validation.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including clean code, code reviews, version control (Git), CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience working with databases, including SQL and NoSQL technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
