Persistent Systems seeks a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design, deploy, and operate scalable AI/ML solutions for enterprise applications. You will build models across NLP and Generative AI, develop RAG pipelines, and create AI agents to solve business challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
• BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, MS, MCA or equivalent from a recognized university preferred.
• Certifications in AI/ML, DL, GenAI, Cloud platforms add value.

We are seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer (AI/MLOps Expertise) with strong experience in developing, deploying, and operating scalable AI/ML solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building machine learning models, NLP and Generative AI solutions, RAG pipelines, AI agents, and production-grade AI platforms. The role requires expertise in Python, PyTorch, data engineering, model deployment, MLOps practices, and distributed AI systems to deliver intelligent, scalable, and business-driven solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, deploy, and optimize AI/ML solutions for enterprise-scale applications.
• Build machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and Generative AI models to solve complex business challenges.
• Develop and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and AI Agent-based solutions.
• Create scalable data pipelines and workflows to support model training, inference, and monitoring.
• Deploy ML models using batch, streaming, and real-time serving architectures.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, and automation platforms such as UiPath.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, business stakeholders, and product teams to deliver AI-driven solutions.
• Implement MLOps best practices for model versioning, deployment, monitoring, governance, and lifecycle management.
• Optimize model performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency in production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across AI models, data pipelines, and deployment platforms.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
• Stay updated on emerging AI, GenAI, Agentic AI, and machine learning technologies.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in AI/ML Engineering, MLOps, Data Engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python, PyTorch, AI/ML, and UiPath integration.
• Solid understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Generative AI technologies.
• Experience building and deploying RAG pipelines, AI Agents, LLM-powered applications, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Strong software engineering skills with expertise in scalable application design, coding standards, testing, and debugging.
• Experience with model deployment patterns including batch, streaming, and online inference architectures.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems, data processing frameworks, and large-scale AI platforms.
• Knowledge of Vector Databases and NoSQL Databases such as Pinecone, ChromaDB, Weaviate, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Educational background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Preferred qualifications include BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, MS, MCA, or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Certifications in AI/ML, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Data Engineering, MLOps, or UiPath will be an added advantage.
• Strong academic foundation in Machine Learning, Statistics, Data Structures, Algorithms, Distributed Systems, Natural Language Processing, and Software Engineering.
• Research publications, AI project experience, or contributions to open-source AI initiatives will be considered a plus.
