Job Summary

AD On‑Prem, Entra ID & DFS Technical Specialist (L2) The AD On‑Prem, Entra ID & DFS Technical Specialist (L2) is a senior technical role responsible for the stability, security, and operational integrity of enterprise identity and directory services within a hybrid environment. The role provides advanced (L2) operational support and technical ownership for Active Directory (On‑Prem), Microsoft Entra ID, and Distributed File System (DFS), ensuring high availability, resilience, and compliance with organizational standards. This position acts as a key escalation point for complex and critical identity‑related incidents, leading in‑depth troubleshooting across domain controllers, hybrid identity integrations, authentication services, and DFS environments. The role supports and administers core IAM capabilities including SSO, MFA, conditional access, identity governance, and application integrations, while ensuring secure and reliable access across users, devices, and enterprise applications. In addition to operational support, the L2 specialist plays an active role in service optimization, backup and recovery readiness, and lifecycle management of AD, Entra ID, and DFS platforms. The role contributes to automation, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives through scripting, process standardization, and knowledge sharing, while working closely with L1 teams and stakeholders in a global support environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong working experience and expert knowledge on Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Group policy management, Monitoring and Reporting, and Microsoft Entra ID
• Strong working experience on AD Administration and Hybrid AD environment
• Knowledge on Promotion and Demotion of Domain Controllers, Health Monitoring, and troubleshooting issues related to on‑prem DCs.
• Group Policy Deployment and troubleshooting using ADGPM.
• Configuration and Troubleshooting LDAP and Authentication issues.
• Knowledge of PKI certificates.
• Manage and maintain the Entra ID environment, including configuration, updates, and security compliance.
• Experience working in deployment and management of Entra ID services, including user and group management, application integration, and conditional access policies.
• Assist with issues related to Entra ID, including account access, MFA, and SSO.
• Experience on maintenance tasks, such as user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for all automation scripts and processes.
• Support for daily incidents.
• Expert knowledge of auditing the Microsoft Entra ID Sign in logs and monitoring component.
• Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including SSO, MFA, conditional access, and identity governance.
• Knowledge on PowerShell Scripting and Automation tasks related to AD.
• Knowledge on Microsoft Intune Company Portal, troubleshooting enrollment issues and App publishing.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID Connect, Microsoft Entra ID B2B, and Microsoft Entra ID B2C.
• Experience with integrating Entra ID with various applications and services.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements for identity management.
• Experience with implementing and managing security measures, such as conditional access policies and identity protection.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with users, stakeholders, and team members.
• Ability to create clear and concise documentation, including technical guides, user manuals, and training materials.
• Qualification - B-Tech or any equivalent bachelor’s degree
