Sav.com is seeking a Senior Accounts Executive (CPA) in Pune to join our finance team. You will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager on core financial operations, month-end close, and business reporting, with strong growth potential into broader finance leadership over time.

Key responsibilities include leading month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and cross-functional process improvements. CPA qualification or two CPA subjects cleared is mandatory for interview eligibility.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience strictly in Core Accounting & Finance.
• Experience in core corporate finance/accounting.
• Proven mid-level leadership or team management.
• CPA qualification (fully qualified) OR two CPA subjects cleared.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close with highly accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee journal entries, adjustments, accruals, and provisions.
• Reconcile and analyze complex account balances.
• Mentor junior finance team members and drive process improvements.
• Partner with Senior Finance Manager on strategic and operational finance matters.
• Oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable cycle, vendor compliance, and receivables aging/collections.
• Prepare executive-level financial reports and insights to drive decisions.
• Ensure compliance and audit readiness.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Executive (CPA) to take on a senior finance role within our Pune finance team, working closely with the Senior Finance Manager on core financial operations, month-end close, and business reporting. This role offers significant scope for growth as our finance function scales, with strong potential to progress into broader finance leadership over time.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

• Lead the month-end close process ensuring highly accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee journal entries, adjustments, accruals, and provisions.
• Reconcile and analyze complex account balances.
• Guide and mentor junior finance team members.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration, identify operational bottlenecks, and implement process improvements for business continuity.
• Partner closely with the Senior Finance Manager on strategic and operational finance matters.
• Oversee bank, credit card, and payment gateway reconciliations.
• Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable cycle, vendor compliance, and accurate receivables aging/collections.

Strategic Finance & Ad-Hoc Operations

• Partner with internal stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare executive-level financial reports and insights to drive critical business decisions.

Compliance

• Enforce adherence to financial regulations and internal company policies, ensuring pristine documentation and audit readiness.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience strictly in the Core Accounting & Finance domain.
• Experience must be in core corporate finance/accounting.
• Proven mid-level leadership or team management experience.
• CPA qualification (fully qualified) OR a minimum of two CPA subjects cleared — mandatory for interview eligibility.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong technical proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced financial formulas, large dataset management).
• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks or similar enterprise accounting software.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English for seamless global stakeholder management.
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset geared toward continuous process optimization.
• Exposure to GAAP/IFRS conversion, GAP analysis, or multi-geography reporting a strong plus.
