Job summary

Opecon Hr Solutions is seeking a Cost Controller for our pharma manufacturing client in Gujarat. The role focuses on preparing the Site P&L budget, monitoring OPEX performance, and conducting variance analysis against budget and prior year.

The ideal candidate will partner with the site head and stakeholders to set product costs, develop pricing strategies, manage inventory, and drive cross-functional cost-saving initiatives. SAP experience is essential, with pharma background preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharma industry experience preferred.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal & written).
• CA/CMA Final or Intermediate qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site P&L budget and monthly P&L MIS with OPEX performance and variances.
• Partner with site head and stakeholders to compute product cost and pricing strategies to improve site profitability.
• Monitor occupancy and idle costs; project forward to minimize idle costs.
• Review manufacturing costs and circulate monthly cost variance analyses.
• Revisit standard vs actual cost; review BOM/recipe and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal levels and liquidate slow-moving items to protect P&L.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors and government agencies for cost audits.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives with cross-functional teams to meet targets.
• SAP experience is essential; pharma background preferred.

Role & responsibilities

• Preparation of Site P&L budget, and circulation of monthly P&L MIS (including OPEX) performance, and variance analysis compared to Budget & PY.
• Business partner with site head and relevant business stakeholders to calculate product cost, develop pricing strategies to enhance site profitability.
• Monitor block with site occupancy and idle costs, projecting forward occupancy to minimize idle cost.
• Review of product manufacturing cost and circulation of cost variance analysis on monthly basis.
• Revisit standard cost vs actual cost on regular time intervals and review periodically Bill of Material / Recipe and taking corrective actions accordingly.
• Responsible for inventory management ensuring optimal inventory level, timely provision of slow-moving items and liquidation to minimize P&L impact.
• Manage internal and external auditors, government agencies, and cost audit needs.
• Drive cost saving projects with cross functional teams to achieve targets.
• SAP experience must, Pharma background preferred.
