Job summary

VRINDA INTERNATIONAL in Chennai (Thoraipakkam) is seeking a Senior Accountant specializing in General Ledger (GL/R2R) to join our finance team. 3–5 years of relevant experience and US accounting exposure are preferred; the role involves month-end close, reconciliations, payroll accounting, and tax work.

The position is full-time with a night shift (7:00 PM – 4:00 AM IST) and face-to-face interview. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Finance & Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of General Accounting Principles.
• Hands-on experience in GL / R2R.
• US Accounting exposure is highly preferred.
• Proficient with MS Excel.
• Experience with Oracle / M3 / Yardi is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Handle and review General Ledger (GL) and R2R activities.
• Perform month-end closing activities.
• Prepare Bank Reconciliations and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Handle Payroll Accounting, Income Journals, and Sales Tax workings/filing.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and deliverables for Management.
• Identify and resolve unreconciled and aged items.
• Coordinate with clients through emails and calls for issue resolution.
• Track errors and prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
• Ensure completion of assigned activities within committed timelines.
• Maintain work allocation and support KPI/performance reporting.
• Escalate pending or critical issues to Management.
• Ensure compliance with information security and control procedures.
