Job summary

SWITS DIGITAL Private Limited in Chennai is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. The role requires 3–8 years of accounting experience, with work from office in Ambattur, Chennai.

You will handle GST, TDS, payroll-related compliance, bank reconciliations and financial reporting, while coordinating with auditors, banks and vendors to ensure timely closing and accurate records.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in Accounting/Finance.
• Strong knowledge of Accounting principles, GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Tally / ERP / Accounting software.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and basic reporting.
• Experience in bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny, AP/AR and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Handle GST, TDS, PF, ESI and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Manage invoicing, payments, receipts and expense verification.
• Perform regular ledger scrutiny and ensure accurate accounting entries.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare MIS reports and provide financial insights to management.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and ensure timely follow-up.
• Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and supporting documents.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and take corrective actions.Guide junior accounting team members and review their work.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable regulations.
