Job summary

Orcapod Consulting Services in Bangalore seeks a Team Lead for R2R/GL with 6–10 years of experience and CA qualification. You will oversee end-to-end R2R, GL accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting for a global finance function within a captive/GCC or product-based organization.

The role requires hands-on GL/R2R expertise, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to lead a team through monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles while ensuring SOX compliance and timely audits.

Qualifications

• CA qualification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) and General Ledger activities.
• Drive month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing within agreed timelines.
• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepaids, depreciation, fixed assets and other GL activities.
• Handle Balance Sheet reconciliations, P&L review and variance analysis.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting as per applicable accounting standards.
• Manage Intercompany accounting, reconciliations and settlements.
• Review CapEx accounting and controls, including capitalization, depreciation and related GL activities.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal financial controls.
• Identify accounting issues and provide technical accounting solutions.
• Coordinate with AP, AR, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and other finance teams for smooth closure.
• Support internal and external audits and provide required schedules and explanations.
• Lead process improvement, standardization and automation initiatives.
• Manage, guide and mentor team members and ensure quality delivery.
• Interact with global/onshore stakeholders and manage escalations.

Role Overview
