The role requires strong experience in EPC contract billing, ITC optimization, and site-level expense control, with robust knowledge of GST, TDS, and related statutory compliance.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized Senior Accountant (CA Inter preferred) with specialized experience in Solar EPC and Renewable Energy (IPP) accounting.

Operating from our South Delhi corporate office, you will hold end-to-end responsibility for project-level accounting, milestone-based Accounts Receivable (AR), vendor/subcontractor ledger reconciliations, statutory compliance (GST/TDS), and payroll administration.

The ideal candidate understands the financial dynamics of capital-intensive solar projects, EPC contract billing cycles, retention money tracking, and site-level expense control.

Key Responsibilities

• Solar EPC & IPP Project Accounting (Revenue & AR)
  • Oversee milestone-based billing and invoicing for Solar EPC projects (Supply, Services, and Civil Works) and monthly generation billing for IPP power plants (PPA/DISCOM billing).
  • Monitor outstanding client invoices, actively track retention money release schedules, and aggressively follow up on aging collections to optimize cash flow.
  • Perform regular client ledger reconciliations against bank statements and resolve billing/commercial contract discrepancies.
  • Track and maintain records for Security Deposits, Bank Guarantees (BG), Letters of Credit (LC), and client withholdings.
• Vendor, EPC Procurement & Site Expense Management
  • Verify, audit, and process EPC vendor invoices (solar modules, inverters, BOS suppliers, sub-contractors) against Purchase Orders (POs) and Work Orders (WOs).
  • Reconcile vendor advance payments, site petty cash accounts, and contractor progress payment certificates (RABs).
  • Audit site-level operational, logistical, and site-staff expenses, integrating them accurately into consolidated corporate accounts.
• Statutory Compliance & Taxation
  • Ensure 100% compliance with Indian direct and indirect tax frameworks (GST, TDS, TCS).
  • Accurately compute and file monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and perform strict monthly GSTR-2B vs. Purchase Register reconciliations to maximize Input Tax Credit (ITC) claiming.
  • Compute, deduct, and deposit TDS/TCS and file quarterly returns (Form 24Q, 26Q) on TRACES.
  • Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors for corporate financial audits, income tax assessments, and MCA compliance.
• Payroll Administration & Financial Reporting
  • Process end-to-end monthly payroll for corporate and solar site personnel, managing PF, ESI, and Professional Tax compliance.
  • Prepare daily/weekly cash flow updates, monthly trial balances, and project-wise P&L statements in Tally Prime.
  • Assist executive leadership with project cost-to-complete analysis, budget vs. actual variance tracking, and working capital management.

Required Qualifications & Experience.

Education: CA Inter preferred / B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance).

Experience: 5 to 8 years of core accounting experience, with at least 3+ years directly in Solar EPC, Renewable Energy, Power, or Civil Infrastructure construction sectors.

Software Command: Expert-level proficiency in Tally Prime, advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS), and corporate online banking portals.

Statutory Portals: Complete hands-on familiarity with GST Portal, TRACES, EPFO, and ESIC portals.

Key Competencies: Deep understanding of EPC contract structures, milestone billing, contractor retention tracking, Input Tax Credit (ITC) optimization, and site ledger
