Job summary

Madurai Meenakshi Appalam is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations for a manufacturing company in Tamil Nadu. The role requires strong handling of GST, TDS, invoicing, bank reconciliations, and MIS reporting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG sectors, and are proficient with Tally Prime and statutory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience in manufacturing/FMCG/food products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Maintain purchase, sales, receipt, payment and journal entries.
• Manage GST, TDS and other statutory accounting requirements.
• Prepare and file GST returns and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Handle Tally / Tally Prime and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Prepare monthly and yearly financial statements.
• Bank reconciliation and regular bank transaction monitoring.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Monitor customer outstanding and vendor payments.
• Prepare invoices, credit/debit notes and other accounting documents.
• Verify purchase invoices, sales invoices and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks and statutory authorities.
• Assist in stock, purchase and sales reconciliation.
• Prepare MIS reports and management reports as required.
• Ensure proper documentation and accuracy of all financial transactions.
• Support management with accounting and financial information when required.
