Pragati Edible Processing Pvt. Ltd. in India near Kharagpur seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to run accounting operations for its factory unit.

The role covers manufacturing accounts, costing, inventory management, taxation, and financial reporting with close interaction with production teams. You will oversee general ledger, cost accounting, GST/TDS compliance and monthly MIS while guiding junior staff and ensuring internal controls are robust.

Qualifications

• B.Com is mandatory; higher qualifications preferred.
• 58 years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on GST, TDS, taxation, costing and inventory accounting.
• Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently.
• Candidates should reside near Gopinathpur, Kharagpur, or nearby areas.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and finalize books of accounts including GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliation.
• Handle store purchase entries, sales orders, and purchase billing.
• Manage manufacturing accounting, product costing, cost variance analysis, inventory, WIP and finished goods.
• Ensure accurate accounting of production, material consumption, and scrap.
• Handle GST returns, reconciliations, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and MIS reports for management.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and coordinate with production teams, vendors and banks.

• Ensure accurate accounting of production, material consumption, and scrap.
