Job summary

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant / Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, GST compliance, TDS, bank and ledger reconciliations, and finalisation of books of accounts. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Indian accounting practices, statutory compliance, and financial reporting, along with the ability to independently manage accounting activities and ensure timely and accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Accounting: Manage day-to-day accounting entries, including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal vouchers.
• GST Compliance: Handle GST compliance, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B preparation and filing, GSTR-2B reconciliation, input tax credit (ITC) verification, and GST ledger reconciliation.
• Daily Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliation, customer and vendor ledger reconciliation, and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
• TDS Compliance: Calculate, deduct, and deposit TDS within prescribed timelines; prepare and file TDS returns and manage TDS reconciliation.
• Books Finalisation: Maintain and finalise books of accounts, including preparation of trial balance, profit and loss account, and balance sheet schedules.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Monitor vendor payments, customer collections, outstanding balances, and ageing reports.
• Month-End Closing: Ensure timely monthly closing of accounts, expense provisions, accruals, and necessary adjustments.
• Statutory Compliance: Maintain accounting records and supporting documents for statutory audits, tax audits, and other regulatory requirements.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare MIS reports, expense statements, and other financial reports as required by management.
• Documentation: Maintain proper accounting records, invoices, vouchers, and compliance documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com); M.Com or CA Inter will be an added advantage.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of GST compliance, TDS, and Indian accounting standards and practices.
• Experience in daily bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
• Ability to independently maintain and finalise books of accounts.
• Proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel; experience with ERP/accounting software will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of statutory deadlines and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and time management.
