Job summary

Cendyn in Hyderabad is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic decision-making. The role requires strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of accounting principles.

You will oversee month-end close, prepare financial statements under US GAAP for multiple entities and currencies, and collaborate with external auditors. The position is hybrid, with some days in the Gurugram office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of advanced education.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
• U.S. CPA Preferred
• NetSuite and Salesforce knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Manage general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals for multiple entities/currencies.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure audit readiness.
• Assist with local Stat (non-US entities) financial statements and audits.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Utilize NetSuite, FloQast, Excel and Salesforce for duties.
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary accounting information.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts on Consolidated and Local Stat bases.
• Analyze movement of GL accounts vs budget/forecast.
• Generate accounting statements and reports as assigned.
• Organize retention files electronically for required period.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Learn and assist with implementation of software enhancements.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Manage general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals for multiple legal entities / currencies
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure audit readiness.
• Assist with local Stat (non-US entities) financial statements and audits
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Utilize computerized accounting software programs to perform duties and responsibilities including NetSuite, FloQast Excel and Salesforce
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary accounting information

• Analyze movement of general ledger accounts compared to budget/forecast
• Generate accounting statements and reports as assigned

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 2 pm to 11 pm IST and subject to changes by Manager's communication. This will allow the most overlap across all US time zones to ensure adequate collaboration. This role will be working in hybrid mode and will require at least 1‑2 days’ work from office at Gurugram.
