Senior Accountant – India Remote – Home Pick

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, preparing financial reports, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, in-depth accounting knowledge, and a proactive approach to improving processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing historical and trend analysis
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and assist with audit preparation
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial issues and ensure data integrity
• Review and improve accounting procedures and systems for efficiency and accuracy
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Intuit Enterprise accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred

• Certified Public Accountant
• Experience with ERP systems
• Experience with US Taxation
• Prior experience with mid-to-large-sized corporations
