Job summary

Shashwath Solution is seeking an experienced accountant based in India. The role covers day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, statutory compliance (GST, TDS, ESI, PF) and coordinating audits.

Strong English, Hindi and Kannada language skills are essential, with CA having added advantage. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in accounting, exposure to audit firms, and the willingness to learn and adapt to changing regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Five years of accounting experience, preferably in an audit firm.
• BCom graduate with CA advantageous.
• Proficient in English, Hindi and Kannada; additional Indian languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily accounting department operations.
• Month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Accounts payable and receivable management.
• Cash and bank books maintenance.
• General ledger upkeep.
• Payroll and utilities processing.
• Statutory compliance tasks including GST, TDS, ESI and PF.
• Coordinate annual audits and improve systems and procedures.

Requirement

• BCom Graduate and CA [ Advantage]


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accountancy, it is advantageous to have worked in an audit firm


• Good Command of English, Hindi and Kannada. Other Indian Languages like Tamil/Telegu would be an added advantage


• Has Experience in Statutory Compliances i.e Direct and Indirect Taxes


• Must have a strong desire to learn and the ability to adapt


• Ability to act competently when necessarily

Job Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

• Month and end-year process


• Accounts payable/receivable


• Cash and Bank Books


• General ledger


• Payroll and utilities


• Statutory Compliance work: - GST 1, GSTR 2B reconciliation, GSTR 3B, GSTR 9


• TDS, ESI and PF


• Organized maintenance of accounts


• Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements


• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles


• Coordinate and complete annual audits


• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions


• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions


• Payment-related activities - Sundry debtors and Sundry Creditors


• Financial Year closing activities


• Storage of Documents and maintenance of files.
