Job summary

Mother Mira Industries Limited is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to manage complete accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, project costing, inventory and management reporting across Real Estate, Manufacturing, Interiors, Apparel and E‑Commerce divisions in Chennai.

The role requires 10–15 years of relevant experience, strong GST/TDS/Income Tax knowledge, and proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel, with ERP exposure. Immediate joiners preferred and a permanent, on-site position.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CMA Inter or equivalent qualification.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in Accounts, Finance, Taxation and Financial Reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax and Statutory Compliance.
• Proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel; ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and taxation functions for multiple divisions.
• Prepare financial statements and finalise P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
• Coordinate with auditors, bankers, consultants and government authorities.
• Manage inter‑company transactions, reconciliations, costing and MIS reporting.
• Monitor working capital, inventory accounting and project costing.

As part of our expanding operations, we are looking for an experienced and hands‑on Senior Accountant capable of independently managing accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, project accounting, manufacturing costing, inventory accounting, marketplace reconciliation, and management reporting.

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the complete accounting and finance functions of the group's Real Estate, Manufacturing, Interior, Apparel and E-Commerce divisions.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts & Finance

• Handle day-to-day accounting independently in Tally Prime / ERP.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts for multiple group companies/divisions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Finalise Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Perform bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
• Monitor expenses and ensure proper accounting controls.
• Handle inter-company transactions and reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.

GST, Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GST Annual Returns.
• Reconcile GST returns with books of accounts and purchase data.
• Handle GST notices, assessments and departmental queries.
• Ensure timely compliance with:
  • TDS
  • PF
  • ESI
  • Professional Tax
  • Labour Welfare Fund
  • Other applicable statutory requirements
• Coordinate with Chartered Accountants, auditors, consultants, bankers and government authorities.
• Assist in Income Tax assessments, statutory audits and tax audits.

Real Estate & Project Accounting

• Maintain project-wise accounting and profitability reports.
• Track construction and development expenditure.
• Monitor land-related expenses and project costs.
• Track customer receivables and collection schedules.
• Verify and account contractor and vendor bills.
• Monitor contractor payments and retention amounts.
• Prepare project-wise MIS, budget and cash-flow statements.
• Analyse project profitability and cost variances.

Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

• Prepare product-wise costing for:
  • Modular Kitchens
  • Wardrobes
  • Doors
  • Furniture
  • Interior Products
• Calculate raw material, labour and production overhead costs.
• Prepare and analyse BOM Bill of Materials costing.
• Monitor inventory valuation and stock reconciliation.
• Analyse material consumption, wastage and production variances.
• Prepare product cost sheets and profitability reports.
• Coordinate with procurement, stores and production departments.
• Support management in budgeting, forecasting and cost optimisation.

Apparel & E-Commerce Accounting

• Handle accounting and reconciliation of marketplace transactions.
• Experience with platforms such as:
  • Amazon
  • Myntra
  • Flipkart
  • D2C / Other E-Commerce Platforms
• Reconcile marketplace sales and settlement reports.
• Track commissions, returns, refunds, reimbursements and deductions.
• Reconcile sales with inventory movement.
• Prepare SKU-wise and channel-wise profitability analysis.
• Monitor stock valuation and inventory reconciliation.

MIS & Management Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS reports for management.
• Prepare division-wise, project-wise and product-wise profitability reports.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Monitor receivables, payables and cash flow.
• Provide financial analysis and reports to support management decision-making.

Required Qualification
