Job description

Rahee Natural Seeds Pvt. Ltd. is looking for proactive and dedicated Seed Production Assistants to work in our main production areas. This job is important for making sure our seeds are high quality and for working closely with farmers. The Assistant will manage all activities on site, follow the production rules carefully, and keep good professional relationships with our partner farmers.

Key Requirements:

• Mobility: Must possess a personal motorcycle/bike for frequent field travel and visits.
• Technical Literacy: Proficient with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel for data management).
• Availability: Must be able to dedicate full time during critical events like threshing.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate politely and familiarly with farmers while strictly enforcing company rules.

The responsibilities are structured across three main pillars: Field Operations, Data & Documentation, and Logistics & Threshing.

• Field Operations & Farmer Engagement:
• Plot Monitoring: Conduct regular production plot visits and record on-plot data entry directly into the designated application.
• Primary Advisory: Serve as the first point of contact to provide primary solutions to farmers for minor seed production problems and effectively convey management messages to the farmers.
• Community Engagement: Remain active and engaged in the company's farmer WhatsApp groups for the assigned area.
• Policy Communication: Maintain a familiar communication style with farmers while clearly explaining and enforcing the company’s rules and production standards.
• Documentation & Agreements:
• Farmer Selection: Assist in the initial organization and execution of farmer selection for the seed production program.
• Document Collection: Responsible for the collection of all necessary documents from farmers and ensuring all production agreements are properly signed and filed.
• Payment Confirmation: Responsible for obtaining final confirmation from the farmer regarding their payment status.
• Logistics, Threshing, and Post-Harvest:
• Bulb Management: Maintain meticulous, variety-wise records of bulb distribution (inward and outward) during the planting season.
• Threshing Management: Provide full-time support during the threshing period, taking charge of managing all threshing machinery operations.
• Training & Bagging: Train other temporary workers on proper threshing techniques and ensure the accurate maintenance of proper bagging numbers during the process.
• Sampling & Transport: Execute seed sampling with correct bag numbering for quality checks. Coordinate and manage seed transport from the farm to the company godown.
• Emergency Support: In post-production or emergency scenarios, assist the company plant with essential tasks like lab tests and seed packing.

Skills and Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in the agriculture industry in Maharashtra.
• Strong understanding of the agricultural market dynamics and distribution channels in Maharashtra.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. and fluent in the local language
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Two-wheeler driving skills with proper license.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Maharashtra.

Attractive salary and other benefits offered to the right candidates with a minimum starting salary of ₹15,000/-.
