Security Platform Engineer III – Endpoint Security

Job Summary

The Security Platform Engineer III is a senior‑level security engineering professional responsible for evaluating, implementing, integrating, and operationalizing security platforms that support The Standard's endpoint security and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) strategy. This role serves as a technical leader within the Security Platforms team and plays a critical role in advancing capabilities that protect enterprise endpoints, secure user access, and improve visibility and control across users, devices, applications, and network traffic. The engineer will partner with Security Operations, Security Architecture, Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, and external vendors to build and mature an enterprise endpoint and SASE ecosystem that supports strategic initiatives and broader security risk reduction objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Implementation, Integration & Engineering

• Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint security and SASE technologies and integrations.
• Assist with development of future‑state endpoint protection, secure access capabilities, and operating models.
• Identify technical gaps, risks, and implementation considerations across proposed solutions.
• Develop and support endpoint policy management, secure access controls, telemetry, reporting, and risk‑based remediation workflows.
• Create implementation standards and deployment procedures.

Platform Operations & Lifecycle Management

• Partner with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Monitor platform health and operational performance.
• Support upgrades, maintenance activities and lifecycle management efforts.
• Develop and maintain operational runbooks, knowledge articles, and platform documentation.
• Participate in operational support and escalation activities as required.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Contribute to long‑term platform strategy and roadmap execution.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to teammates and stakeholders.Identify and implement improvements across platform capabilities and operational processes.
• Collaborate with technical teams responsible for Application Security, Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, and Infrastructure Security.
• Ability to work on‑site in Bengaluru, India is a requirement of the role.

Mode of Working

This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While on‑site presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment.

Skills And Background You’ll Need

Education

B.E. / B.Tech. degree in computer science or related field is required.

Certifications (Preferred)

• CISSP

• Relevant cybersecurity certifications

Experience

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise security technologies.
• Experience implementing and/or owning EDR or SASE platforms.
• Experience participating in security technology evaluations, deployments, integrations, and endpoint agent rollouts.
• Experience working with cross‑functional technical teams and external vendors.
• Strong technical integration and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and vendor solutions.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills. Effective communication with technical and business stakeholders. Strong collaboration and relationship‑building skills. Continuous improvement mindset. Ability to manage ambiguity in rapidly evolving technology domains.

Technical Skills

• Hands‑on experience with enterprise endpoint security technologies.
• Experience with two or more of the following: Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), or cloud‑delivered firewall capabilities,
• Experience analyzing endpoint, network, and security telemetry to troubleshoot policy, agent, connectivity, and integration issues.

Technical Skills (Preferred)

• Experience deploying and supporting endpoint agents across Windows and one or more additional environments, such as macOS, Linux, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), or cloud workloads.
• Experience integrating security platforms with SIEM, SOAR, or endpoint management tools.
• Familiarity with zero trust principles, data protection concepts, risk management, and cybersecurity frameworks.
