Job summary

Accor's Hyderabad property seeks a Security Officer to join the Security Operation team. You will follow the duty roster, patrol various posts, and ensure all security systems operate smoothly while safeguarding guests and staff.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of experience, a high school education, and strong English language skills. CPR/First Aid and Fire Safety certifications are advantageous; a clean criminal record is required.

Qualifications

• Secondary or high school education required.
• Certificates in National Skills Recognition System, CPR, First Aid Management and Basic Fire Fighting advantageous.
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
• No criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties according to the Duty Roster prepared by the Director of Security and be deployed to various security posts (Control Room, Lobby, Loading Bay, patrols, back of house, VIP parking).
• Ensure security systems function smoothly and initiate corrective action when faults are detected.
• Assist management, employees and guests in ways that protect property and people.
• Coordinate with departments and government agencies during routine matters and emergencies.
• Monitor back of house areas for unauthorized entry and maintain records in log books.
• Keep Manager or Crisis Management Team informed on the latest developments during a crisis.
• Conduct inventory of keys, passes, walkie-talkies, pagers and other stock.
• Maintain cleanliness of Hotel Security Room and surrounding areas.
• Be conversant with fire & life safety/emergency procedures; attend briefings and trainings; maintain professional appearance.

Security Operation

• Perform duties according to the Duty Roster prepared by the Director of Security. The Security Officer may be deployed to any of the following Duty Posts:
• Security Control Room Duty;
• Lobby Duty;
• Loading Bay;
• Patrolling or Observation Duty;
• Back of House;
• VIP Parking;
• Or at any position where operations in Security field will benefit
• Ensure that all security systems function smoothly. Initiate immediate corrective action when fault is detected
• Assist Management, employees and guests in every way that is consistent with the protection and prevention objectives
• Coordinate with various departments and government agencies on routine matters and during emergency
• Monitor back of house areas with particular attention to unauthorized entry and exit points
• Maintains records in respective Log Books for future reference
• Keep Manager or Crisis Management Team informed on the latest development of situation in a crisis
• Conduct inventory on keys, passes, walkie-talkies, pagers and all other accountable stock
• Ensure the cleanliness of Hotel Security Room and the surrounding areas

Other Responsibilities

• Be fully conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
• Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times
• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
• Report for duty on time wearing clean and complete uniform at all times
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel
