Job summary

Waaree Renewable Technologies in India seeks a Security Site Manager to oversee day-to-day security operations at solar project sites, including access control, surveillance, patrolling, and deployment of security personnel.

You will supervise guards and agencies, ensure safe movement of people and materials, coordinate with Site Administration, Stores, Logistics, HR, EHS, and project teams, and prepare daily security reports.

Qualifications

• Graduate preferred; candidates with relevant security qualifications/certifications will be an advantage.
• 512 years of experience in security operations, preferably in Solar EPC, Power, Infrastructure, Construction, Manufacturing, or large project sites.
• Experience in managing security agencies and large security manpower deployment.
• Strong knowledge of access control, material movement, CCTV surveillance, patrolling, incident management, and security SOPs.
• Good communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in remote project-site locations and in rotational/shift-based operations.
• Candidates with ex-defence / ex-paramilitary / industrial security backgrounds may also be considered, depending on experience and suitability.
• Willingness to travel and work at PAN India project locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day security operations at solar project sites.
• Supervise security guards, supervisors, and agencies.
• Ensure entry/exit control for employees, contractors, visitors, vehicles, and materials.
• Maintain movement control of project materials, equipment, and assets.
• Implement gate-pass and material movement procedures.
• Conduct regular security patrols and inspections across sites and stores.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and coverage.
• Prevent and investigate theft, unauthorized access, or loss of assets.
• Coordinate with Site Admin, Stores, Logistics, HR, EHS, and Project teams.
• Liaise with local police/government authorities as required.
• Handle security emergencies and incidents at the site.
• Prepare daily security and incident reports and records.
• Check security manpower deployment adherence to SOPs.
• Identify security risks and propose preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.
• Conduct security awareness briefings for staff and contractors.
• Support emergency response and crisis management with EHS and project teams.

• Ensure proper entry and exit control for employees, contractors, visitors, vehicles, and materials.
• Maintain strict control over the movement of project materials, equipment, tools, and other assets.
• Implement and monitor gate-pass and material movement procedures.
• Conduct regular security patrolling and inspection of the project site, stores, warehouses, offices, camps, and other critical areas.
• Monitor and maintain CCTV surveillance systems and ensure appropriate coverage of sensitive locations.
• Prevent and investigate incidents involving theft, pilferage, unauthorized access, trespassing, damage, or loss of company assets.
• Coordinate with the Site Administration, Stores, Logistics, HR, EHS, and Project teams for smooth site operations.
• Liaise with local police, government authorities, and other external agencies whenever required.
• Handle security-related emergencies, incidents, disputes, and other unforeseen situations at the project site.
• Prepare and maintain daily security reports, incident reports, attendance/deployment records, and other security documentation.
• Conduct regular checks of security manpower deployment and ensure adherence to prescribed security SOPs.
• Identify potential security risks and recommend appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies and project-specific security procedures.
• Conduct security awareness briefings for employees, contractors, and security personnel.
• Support emergency response, evacuation, and crisis-management activities in coordination with the EHS and project teams.
