Job summary

VARITE INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Security Engineer to lead Zscaler operations, with emphasis on ZPA, ZIA, ZCC, and ZDX. The role focuses on designing Zero Trust access and replacing legacy VPNs, partnering with security stakeholders for secure application access, and supporting global deployments from India.

You will work with network, security, and infrastructure teams to implement secure access architectures, while coordinating with vendors for continuous improvements and large-scale

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Zscaler technologies, especially ZPA in enterprise environments.
• Experience with ZPA architecture, application segmentation, and Zero Trust access models.
• Knowledge of ZIA, ZCC, and ZDX in enterprise settings.
• Strong networking fundamentals including routing, switching, DNS and TCP/IP.
• Experience with firewall technologies, segmentation strategies, and hybrid network architecture.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Background in Zscaler engineering and secure access architecture.
• Familiarity with SASE and Zero Trust frameworks.

About The Job:

Security Engineer

Essential Job Functions:

• Lead daily operational support, troubleshooting, and configuration of Zscaler platforms, with a primary focus on ZPA.
• Design, implement, and optimize Zero Trust access solutions, replacing legacy VPN technologies.
• Partner with business and security stakeholders to deliver secure application access solutions aligned to enterprise needs.
• Work directly with Zscaler and other vendors to support escalations, platform enhancements, and ongoing improvements.
• Collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams to support network uplift, global deployments, and secure access initiatives.
• Support daily operational activities, troubleshooting, policy configuration, and deployment activities for Zscaler technologies.
• Support VPN-to-ZPA or Zero Trust transformations.
• Perform ZIA policy design, traffic forwarding, and secure web gateway activities.
• Use ZDX for monitoring and user experience analytics.
• Support global deployments, migrations, and large-scale user onboarding.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Zscaler technologies, with a strong emphasis on Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience with ZPA architecture, application segmentation, and Zero Trust access models.
• Working knowledge of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Client Connector (ZCC), and Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX).
• Strong foundation in networking concepts including routing, switching, DNS, and TCP/IP.
• Solid experience with firewall technologies, segmentation strategies, and hybrid network architecture.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is preferred.
• Strong background in Zscaler engineering (ZPA required, ZIA preferred).
• Experience in enterprise network security and secure access architecture.
• Familiarity with SASE and Zero Trust frameworks.
• Prior experience, industry background, or domain expertise are preferred for this role.s.
