Job summary

SYSTRA invites applications for the position of Sector Expert (Design) - S&T for the project in Hubballi, Karnataka. The role oversees signalling and telecom construction activities, ensuring compliance with technical specs and safety standards on-site.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years (degree) or 7+ years (diploma) in railway signalling, with prior SE/SSE or equivalent railway experience. This is a hands-on, on-site opportunity with growth potential within the SYSTRA team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in execution of Railway Signalling works for degree holder.
• Minimum 7 years for Diploma holders with relevant experience.
• Experience in SE/SSE or equivalent Grade in Railways or S&T departments a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee signalling & telecom construction projects ensuring specs and safety.
• Collaborate with signalling contractors for timely execution.
• Provide technical guidance in installation, testing, and commissioning of signalling & telecom systems.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to maintain quality and address issues promptly.
• Prepare and present project reports and updates to stakeholders.

Systra is appointed as Project Supervision Services Agency for providing Project Supervision Services (PSS) At Various Construction Sites/Sections in the Jurisdiction of CSTE/Project Hubballi and CSTE/Project Bengaluru, South Western Railway

We are seeking applications for the position of Sector Expert (Design) - S&T for the project

Location

Hubballi, Karnataka

Missions/Main Duties

• Oversee and manage signalling & telecom construction projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
• Collaborate with signalling contractors to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance in the installation, testing, and commissioning of signalling & telecom systems.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain quality control and address any issues promptly.
• Prepare and present project reports and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication.

Profile/Skills

(i) Graduate Degree in Electrical/ Electronics and Communication Engineering with minimum experience of 5 years or Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering with minimum experience 7 years in execution of Railway Signalling works.

or

(ii)At least 5 years’ experience in SE/SSE or equivalent Grade and S & T department of Railways and/or as AM and above in S&T/Drawing department in RITES/ IRCON/RVNL or equivalent grade in Konkan Railway/MRVC/DFCCIL/ any JVs or SPVs with Ministry of Railways, any Metro Rail Corporation either individually or combined.
