Job summary

Systra India is recruiting a Site Engineer - S&T for a major project in Hubballi, Karnataka. The engineer will assist in design reviews, installation, testing and commissioning, and ensure proper interfacing with telecom subsystems at the project sites.

The role requires 3 years (or 5 years for Diploma) in railway signalling execution, or 2+ years in SE/SSE or equivalent S&T roles within Railways or related entities, with readiness to work at construction sites across Karnataka.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Electrical/Electronics and Communication Eng with 3+ years in railway signalling.
• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Eng with 5+ years in execution of railway signalling works.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design review of signalling & telecom systems.
• Assist in installation, integration, testing & commissioning of signalling & telecom systems.
• Assist in interfacing signalling systems with telecom subsystems and asset management systems; approve interface documents.
• Assist in verifying completed work and preparing payment requests to contractors.

Missions/Main Duties

Assist Resident Engineer - S&T in performing tasks that includes the following but not limited to :1. Assist in Design review of Signalling& Telecom System.2. Assist in Installation, Integration, Testing & Commissioning of signalling and telecom system.3. Assist in Interfacing of Signalling System with Telecom Subsystems, Asset Management System etc. and Interface document approval.4. Assist in verifying completed work and prepare request for payment to contractors.5. Assist in obtaining statutory approvals.6. Assist and coordinate with various agencies for successful completion of the project.7. Assist in any other roles and responsibilities required to be performed to complete the project and assigned by Resident Engineer - S&T

Profile/Skills

(iii) Graduate Degree in Electrical/ Electronics and Communication Engineering with minimum experience of 3 years or Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering with minimum experience 5 years in execution of Railway Signalling works.or(iv) At least 2 years experience in SE/SSE or equivalent Grade and above of S&T department or of Railways and/or as AM and above in S&T department in RITES/ IRCON/RVNL or equivalent grade in Konkan Railway/MRVC/DFCCIL/ any JVs or SPVs with Ministry of Railways, any Metro Rail Corporation either individually or combined.
