Job summary

Careerist Management Consultants is seeking a Section Engineer - Packing Material Godown in Mahad to oversee warehouse operations and SAP/EWM processes. The role requires coordinating inbound/outbound activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and leading a team to ensure smooth material flow.

The incumbent will manage automation systems like ASRS, conveyors, and cranes while ensuring safety compliance and data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Require B.Tech (Mech/Chemical preferred) and relevant warehouse operations experience.
• Experience with SAP EWM and ERP systems in warehouse setting.
• Experience in inventory management, FIFO, and cycle counting.
• Exposure to automation like ASRS, conveyors, cranes.
• Knowledge of safety, compliance, and governance.
• Strong leadership and team management.
• Data analysis and KPI monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end PMG warehouse operations and SAP/EWM transactions.
• Maintain 100% GRN accuracy and conduct stock reconciliation.
• Manage ASRS, STV, cranes, conveyors and other warehouse systems.
• Coordinate quality issues and FG reprocessing activities.
• Ensure safety compliance via HIRA, PTW, trainings.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and GST-compliant docs.
• Ensure asset accountability and preventive maintenance.
• Lead DE/DET teams, onboard new staff, and drive continuous improvement.
• Drive digitalization via EWM/DCS/MES implementations and KPI tracking.

Position - Section Engineer -Packing Material Godown

Location : Mahad

Reporting to Department Head – FG / PMG

Qualification Required – B.Tech (Mech / Chemical preferred)

Role & responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations & SAP Management
   Manage end-to-end PMG warehouse operations, ensuring accurate SAP EWM transactions, delivery creation, Inbound planning, material movement, system hygiene, and training of team members on SAP/EWM processes.
2. Inventory Accuracy & Reconciliation
   Ensure 100% GRN accuracy, quarterly and annual stock reconciliation, cycle counting, variance control, FIFO compliance, and timely liquidation of blocked, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
3. Automation & Equipment Management
   Manage ASRS, STV, cranes, conveyors, sortation stations, and warehouse automation systems while ensuring maximum utilization, reduced equipment downtime, effective rejection handling, and timely preventive maintenance.
4. Quality, Reprocessing & Material Handling
   Coordinate quality issue resolution with vendors, suppliers, transporters, and depots; manage FG reprocessing activities, damaged material handling, and PM line trials for inventory utilization.
5. Safety, Compliance & Governance
   Ensure compliance with safety standards through HIRA, PSSR, PTW, TBT, safety trainings, incident prevention initiatives, and adherence to all statutory and internal compliance requirements.
6. Documentation & SOP Management
   Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, training modules, GST-compliant documentation, and process records while ensuring zero audit non-conformities.
7. Asset & Resource Management
   Ensure asset accountability, preventive maintenance, consumable inventory control, pallet and MOB management, equipment readiness, and uninterrupted material availability for warehouse operations.
8. People Development & Leadership
   Provide functional leadership to DE/DET teams, conduct capability-building programs, facilitate onboarding and training of new employees, and drive a culture of performance, safety, and continuous improvement.
9. Continuous Improvement & Digitalization
   Drive operational excellence through KPI monitoring, data analysis, process optimization, system implementation (EWM/DCS/MES), warehouse digitalization initiatives, and continuous learning through internal and external training programs.
