Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on SEO experience, preferably in a digital agency
• Proven international SEO experience — hreflang, geo-targeting, multilingual content
• Proficient with Ahrefs, SEMrush, GSC, Screaming Frog, GA
• Solid technical SEO understanding: crawlability, Core Web Vitals, schema markup
• Experience running measurable link-building campaigns
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven insights
• Good written English; multilingual skills are a bonus
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously

About the Role

Social Sherpa is looking for an SEO Executive who can drive rankings end-to-end from optimizing pages to building authority across international markets. This role requires someone who understands modern SEO across on-page, off-page, and international dimensions, and can translate strategy into consistent execution.

We work with clients across multiple industries and geographies, so you'll need to be comfortable managing multiple sites and campaigns simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

On-Page SEO

• Optimize website pages for target keywords, search intent, and content structure
• Implement and audit meta tags, header hierarchy, internal linking, and schema markup
• Align page content with both ranking goals and conversion objectives
• Collaborate with content and design teams to improve page-level performance
• Conduct regular content audits and recommend updates or consolidations

Off-Page SEO

• Plan and execute link-building strategies aligned with client goals
• Manage outreach for guest posts, citations, digital PR, and backlink acquisition
• Prioritize high-quality, topically relevant links over volume
• Monitor and analyse backlink profiles using tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush
• Track competitor link strategies and identify gap opportunities

International SEO

• Implement hreflang tags correctly across multilingual and multiregional pages
• Advise on URL structure — ccTLD, subdomain, or subdirectory — based on client goals
• Conduct geo-specific keyword research for priority international markets
• Audit and resolve international indexing issues via Google Search Console
• Coordinate with content teams on localization vs. translation strategy
• Monitor international SERP performance and flag geo-targeting issues

Reporting & Analysis

• Track KPIs: organic traffic, rankings, backlink growth, and click-through rates
• Prepare monthly performance reports for clients with actionable insights
• Use Google Search Console, Analytics, and rank tracking tools for ongoing monitoring

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally within a digital agency
• Proven experience with international SEO — hreflang, geo-targeting, multilingual content
• Proficient in tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics
• Solid understanding of technical SEO: crawlability, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, site structure
• Experience running link-building campaigns with measurable results
• Strong analytical skills — comfortable working with data and drawing insights
• Good written communication in English; multilingual skills are a bonus
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously

We give strong preference to candidates with experience working on internal client projects within an agency environment — someone comfortable owning deliverables across multiple accounts.
