Gurgaon Hire is seeking a skilled QA Automation Specialist to drive testing across UI, API, and data migrations. You will design scalable test strategies, implement automated suites, and ensure data integrity through SQL validation.
The role requires strong scripting, debugging, and experience with modern automation tools in an Agile setup. You will collaborate with developers, analysts, and DevOps to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, support UAT, and optimize performance testing using
1) Understand business requirements, user journeys, system integrations, and technical changes associated with transformation and migration initiatives.
2) Design and execute test scenarios covering SIT, functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, and UAT requirements.
3) Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for web UI, API, and integration testing.
4) Build reusable automation components and utilities using languages such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Groovy script.
5) Perform API testing and automation using tools/frameworks such as Karate, REST Assured, Postman, Playwright, or equivalent solutions.
6) Validate backend data and migration outcomes using SQL queries across PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar databases.
7) Support data migration testing by validating source-to-target data, business rules, reconciliation results, and data integrity.
8) Support UAT activities by preparing test data, investigating issues, reproducing defects, and providing technical assistance where required.
9) Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo or similar platforms and analyze failures from automated executions.
10) Investigate defects and automation failures using application logs, API responses, database records, and other available diagnostic information.
11) Design, develop, maintain, and execute performance test scripts using JMeter, k6, Gatling, or equivalent performance-testing tools.
12) Perform load, stress, endurance/soak, and baseline performance testing based on application and business requirements.
1) Programming & Scripting - Hands-on programming or scripting experience in at least one language such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Groovy.
2) Good understanding of basic programming concepts, object-oriented principles, exception handling, reusable code, and debugging.
3) Ability to read existing automation code, troubleshoot failures, and make required enhancements to support testing and repetitive operational/business activities.
4) Test Automation & PT Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated tests using Selenium, Playwright, or a comparable UI automation framework.
5) Understanding of automation design concepts such as Page Object Model, cucumber BDD or similar reusable design approaches.
6) Understanding of cross-browser testing and automated regression execution.
7) Hands-on experience testing REST APIs & SOAP Services.
8) Experience with at least one API testing or automation solution such as Karate, REST Assured, Postman, SOAP UI, or equivalent.
9) Ability to maintain automation code so that test suites remain readable, reusable, and stable. Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or equivalent.
10) Ability to perform data validation and reconciliation between systems, particularly for integration or migration scenarios.
11) Hands-on experience in performance testing using JMeter, k6 or a comparable performance-testing tool.
12) CI/CD & Version Control Working knowledge of Git and common version-control practices.
13) Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Bamboo/Jenkins.
14) Understanding of how automated test suites are triggered and executed as part of a CI/CD pipeline.
15) Ability to review pipeline/test execution results and troubleshoot automation failures.
1) 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in software testing, quality engineering, SDET, or test automation roles.
2) Practical experience developing and maintaining automated tests. 3) Hands-on experience with UI and API testing, Good coding or scripting ability, SQL queries and willingness to build automation and supporting utilities.
4) Experience performing functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
5) Experience working with developers, business analysts, product teams, DevOps teams, and other project stakeholders.
6) Comfortable working in an Agile delivery environment
