About the Role:

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to develop and execute Functional, Integration and automated tests to ensure product quality.
SDET responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track defects.
The SDET technician role plays an important part in our company’s product development process.
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective.

Job Description:

• Performing a combination of manual and automated testing as per release priorities
• Understanding the end product requirement and translating the requirement into real-time business scenarios.
• Converting test scenarios into detailed test cases.
• Designing automated test scripts using selenium/PageObject Model/PageFactory
• Working experience of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in in Cross-browser / Cross platform testing
• Creation of test plan, test cases.
• Test Execution and Defect life cycle.
• Good trouble‑shooting skills.
• Exposure to different databases like Postgres, MSSQL, Oracle DB.
• Exposure to different flavours of OS like windows server, Ubuntu, linux,mac etc
• Experienced in Functional, Integration, Linguistic, System/Performance and UAT testing etc.

Requirements Skill sets
Must - have technical skills

• Good understanding of SDLC & STLC (Software testing life cycle) Concepts
• Experience in Functional, Integration, System and UAT Testing.
• Good knowledge and understanding of defect life cycle
• Experienced/hands on in Test Automation tools like Selenium-Java/python
• Experience /Exposure to performance tools like Jmeter/Load Runner etc.
• Experience in API Testing using tools like Jmeter/postman
  Good knowledge & working experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java
  Must be Tech/Internet Savvy – Interest/Exposure in New technologies- self learner.
• Hands - on knowledge of Database MSSQL, Oracle/Postgres, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Must - have soft skills:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent ownership Skills.
• Good interpersonal, problem solving, reasoning and analytical skills.
• Ability to interact with clients/stakeholders with ease.
• Excellent team player and grooming/mentoring activities

Good to Have:

• Exposure to ITSM tools /Ticketing tools like BMC Remedy/Cherwell etc
• Exposure to RPA product testing would be an added advantage.
• Exposure to python/Cloud Infrastructure.
• Browser Extension testing experience would be an added advantage.
