Job summary

Photon in Chennai, India seeks an experienced SDET to own testing strategy for web and API platforms. 7+ years in testing, automation with Selenium, test framework design, and strong knowledge of BDD (Cucumber) and build tools (Gradle) are essential; familiarity with JIRA, GitLab/Bitbucket, and SQL basics is a plus.

You will collaborate with developers and product owners, contributing to performance testing with JMeter and helping set testing standards across the product.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as SDET.
• Extensive experience in web and API testing methodologies.
• Extensive experience with automation testing tools and programming (Selenium) and designing or creating test frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Behavior Driven Development tools and Build tools (e.g., Cucumber, Gradle).
• Knowledge on application architecture from front end and back end.
• Test Management Tools (e.g., JIRA, Xray, ALM).
• Source control experience (e.g., GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Understanding of performance testing and related tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.
• Programming or scripting skills with SQL basics to extract data for tests is a plus.
