Job summary

TalentPro is seeking a QA/Automation Tester in Bengaluru to design and implement automated tests using Capybara with Ruby and Javascript. You will work closely with product and engineering to understand requirements, create risk-based test coverage for APIs and UI flows, and build resilient tests that integrate with the CI pipeline.

You will also investigate failures, report defects with clear repro steps, and help reduce flaky tests while performing exploratory testing when needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience writing automated tests in at least one programming language and one established test framework.
• Ability to turn a feature into risk-based test scenarios rather than merely counting test cases.
• Experience testing APIs and browser-based workflows with meaningful positive and negative assertions.
• Understanding of test isolation, selectors, waits, data setup and cleanup, and the causes of flaky tests.
• Ability to investigate failures using logs, traces, network responses or database evidence.
• Working knowledge of version control, CI, and collaboration in a shared codebase.
• Clear defect reporting and constructive communication with developers, product colleagues and stakeholders.
• Practical use of AI to generate tests with checks for coverage and stability.
