Job summary

PW (PhysicsWallah) is seeking an SDET II/III to design, develop, and execute automated testing solutions across web, mobile, and API layers. You will own quality outcomes, design scalable automation frameworks, and mentor junior QA engineers as you collaborate with Dev and Product teams to deliver high-quality features.

The role emphasizes Shift-Left testing, robust test coverage, and continuous improvement, with hands‑on work in Java, Selenium, Appium, and REST/ Karate API testing.

Qualifications

• 3 to 8 years of experience in test automation for web, mobile, and backend applications.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Selenium (Java) for web automation.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Appium (Java) for mobile automation.
• Good understanding of test automation design patterns and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience writing reusable utilities, libraries, and helpers.
• Strong experience with BDD‑based frameworks using Java.
• Experience in API and microservices testing using Rest Assured or Karate.
• Strong proficiency in Java with solid understanding of OOP concepts.
• Experience in leading and mentoring QA/SDET teams.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.

SDET II & SDET III will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions for the company’s software products. This role requires strong expertise in automation framework design across web, mobile, and API layers, close collaboration with development and product teams, and ownership of quality outcomes. The role also includes technical mentoring and leadership of junior SDET and QA engineers.
