Persistent Systems is seeking an experienced SDET Automation Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team in Bengaluru. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and Python, and drive end-to-end testing across enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright and Python.
• Develop automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Execute comprehensive test suites to validate application stability and functionality.
• Perform database validation and backend testing using MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
• Design and execute API testing and service validation activities.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and automation best practices.
• Perform performance, load, and stress testing using JMeter.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to define testing requirements and quality standards.
• Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning activities.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Track test execution, defects, and quality metrics using Jira and TestRail.
• Create and maintain test plans, automation documentation, and test reports.
• Support production deployments and perform post-release validation testing.
• Monitor test automation execution and continuously improve framework efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to software quality standards and testing best practices.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and proactively resolve quality issues across environments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on test automation and engineering excellence.
• Support Agile development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Strong knowledge of Jenkins and build automation processes.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting capabilities.
